How To Increase Brand Awareness on Twitter
How to master Twitter to increase your brand awareness. Social media is here to stay so let’s be honest: if companies don’t have a Twitter presence, they are missing out on a huge opportunity to connect with customers.
Not to say, if you’re not tweeting, you run a disadvantage of being out of touch.
Sadly, most companies aren’t taking enough advantage of all the microblogging platforms that has to offer.
Twitter plays a big part in many successful business plans. Suppose your company is not active on Twitter, your company/brand will most likely exist. This means whether you’re actively participating or not, your customers are most likely some of the customers. Maybe even talking about the company both good and bad.
So, it’s now up to you to start taking more advantage of the microblogging platforms.
And with Twitter being free is there a reason not to tweet?
Listening is as important as tweeting
Twitter offers companies a different opportunity to not only hear what customers think but also have a glimpse at what’s being said about their competitors
As we all know Twitter is known well as a breaking news platform, by keeping a look on key accounts, your company can have advance notice on any huge announcements that are important to your company.
How Twitter Is Unique
In the social media world, Twitter falls into the category of microblogging tools due to the short disconnected messages it distributes. Other microblogging tools include Tumblr, FriendFeed and Plurk.
Twitter shares some features with the most common social media tools (Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Google+ and YouTube). However, the differences really define Twitter
Facebook– A tweet is a short status update on Facebook. However, with Twitter, every tweet arrives in every follower’s feed.

Pinterest– Twitter allows you to share pictures and provide a comment section in your tweet. However, with Twitter, it’s much easier to have a conversation around a shared picture than with the comment feature on Pinterest.

LinkedIn-LinkedIn is based on people you know whereas Twitter allows you to follow anyone without sending a request.
